Synopsis
Unger and Madison are at it again! Florence Unger and Olive Madison, that is, in Neil Simon’s hilarious contemporary comic classic: the female version of The Odd Couple. Instead of the poker party that begins the original version, Ms. Madison has invited the girls over for an evening of Trivial Pursuit. The Pidgeon sisters have been replaced by the two Constanzuela brothers. But the hilarity remains the same.
Author: Neil Simon
Historian’s Corner
The second show of the season was in a sense a revival and yet, it was also a new version of the classic Neil Simon play “The Odd Couple – Female Version. ” The changes to the play were successful as evidenced by the audience responses and the reviewer’s praise for the production. The male versions of the play had been produced in the 1968-1969 and 1990-1991 seasons. No matter the era or the gender, this show is always an audience favorite.
