Clara Varlese (Golde) is making her debut at CPT in the principal role of Golde, in Fiddler on the Roof. She is thrilled to be performing on the stage again after 20 years. As a NYC native, she spent time performing with an improv and sketch comedy troupe in NYC comedy clubs. Her last stage performance was in 2003 as Audrey, in Little Shop of Horrors, in a musical theater review at The Town Hall Theatre in Flushing, NY. Other roles include: featured background actor, The Chappelle Show, Pace University Stage: Rebecca Gibbs, Our Town, Ensemble, A Midsummer Night’s Dream. She holds her BA in Theatre Arts from Pace University and an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from NYU. She’s a psychotherapist by day and theater performer by night. She holds firmly that it’s never too late to pursue your passions.
