A veteran is back at a small midwestern college, living with his wife’s family. The well-meaning mother-in-law mistakenly decides that he is interested in a co-ed with whom he works. Her efforts to save her daughter’s marriage, plus the arrival of eccentric relatives make for further complications. Eventually, the mother discovers that she is wrong. The result of this confusion is that the young people learn an important lesson on how to get along together.
