Synopsis

In this hilarious Christmas classic, a couple struggling to put on a church Christmas pageant is faced with casting the Herdman kids—probably the most inventively awful children in history. This delightful comedy is adapted from the best-selling Young Adult book, and has become a holiday staple for theatre across the United States!

Historian’s Corner

Next up for Players was a revival of “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever.” The show was first performed in the 1989-1990 season. The sponsor for this show was “An Anonymous, Generous Family.” The production played to capacity houses (the December 7th performance was sold out) and had to add an additional performance.
