Sally Parry

Show Bio

Sally Parry (Director) is happy to be directing at Community Players again, for the first time since Into the Woods in 2018. She’s directed shows at Players since 1998, including 1776, How to Succeed in Business, Inherit the Wind, Leaving Iowa, The Woman in Black, and Titanic. Many thanks to the cast and crew for a wonderfully entertaining experience. Having lived in New York for 17 years and produced shows off and off-off-Broadway, she’s well aware of the stress of putting on a show, although not of playing Hamlet, with or without the coaching of John Barrymore! She retired as an English professor from Illinois State University over two years ago and dedicates the show to her late husband Bob McLaughlin, who often played leads at Players.
