Gary Schwartz

Gary Schwartz (Set Designer) has a long history with Fiddler On The Roof at Community Players. He appeared as the Constable in the 1977 production and on the set construction crew. He also did some set design work for the 1992 production. Gary has designed sets for 30 productions at Players with the last being the 2001 production of The Man of LaMancha. The most recent sets were Sweeney Todd, Stalag 17 and Urinetown. He is a retired graphic designer after 27 years at IWU. During that time, Gary designed sets for several IWU opera productions and The Secret Garden for Prairie Fire Theatre. This production has been a unique opportunity to team up with several longtime friends that he first met in the Players production of Oklahoma! in 1977.
