On June 1st Community Players will be celebrating the end of our 90th Season with a special Anniversary Party held at the ISU Alumni Center.

Community Players put on their first performance in 1923 and so our  theme for the night is

“Step back to when it all began—the Jazz Age.”

Cocktail hour will begin at 5:30 pm with music provided by Choban/Lane Jazz Duo.  Then it’s on to dinner, musical entertainment by the 25 cent quartet (Chuck Stuckey, Kerry Myers, Joe Penrod and Chuck Palm), and dancing with Sparrow Entertainment helming DJ duties.

There will also be a silent auction, cash bar, and some fun trivia activities going on throughout the nightWe are excited to be able to celebrate 90 years of outstanding theatre in our community and would like everyone to come help us celebrate.

Hearing Assistance System

Community Players offers a Hearing-Assistance System so that hard-of-hearing patrons can better hear and understand the dialogue and music of our productions. Patrons wishing to use one should see the House Manager before the performance. The Hearing-Assistance System was purchased by means of a generous grant from the Illinois Prairie Community Foundation to whom we are most grateful.
